By now the sun had set. With no one out on the streets, Cole safely lands near town and carries Lochlan to Rosey’s apartment and hits the buzzer. The door unlocked and he fumbled a bit to open the door before heading up the stairs to the apartment door. He knocks using his foot.
There is a pause before the door opens. Rosey looks up at Cole and her eyes widen a bit on seeing the blood scattered across both him and Lochlan. She steps out of the way and holds the door open for him.
Cole steps inside and looks for a couch to put Lochlan on, "It's a long story."
He finds an empty one as Rosey quickly closes the door before checking no one saw, "Are you two ok?"
Cole puts Lochlan down on the couch, "I'm fine, just a lot of needle holes and maybe some bruising" Cole looks at Lochlan, "I have no idea about her, I tried protecting her as best as I could."
Rosey huffs, "If you can tend to yourself I can patch her up." She grabs her bag from beside her desk and pulls out some medical supplies.
Cole checks himself over for any major wounds as he shrugs, "Not like they shot me or anything."
Rosey starts wiping any blood off of the side of Lochlan's face, "Oh then you're not too beat up. Maybe you could go get me something?" She looks over at Cole with a smile.
Cole glares at Rosey slightly as he folds his arms, "I'm not your plug, I'm not getting you coke."
Rosey rolls her eyes, "Fine. I can ask someone else."
Cole crosses his arms and sighs, "I'm gonna wait for her to wake up, I kinda need to apologize for scaring the absolute fuck out of her.”
Rosey scoffs, "She can hold some serious grudges." She pauses while looking at one of Lochlan's arms and making a confused face.
Cole raises an eyebrow, "What's wrong?" Cole leans slightly closer to get a look at Lochlan's arms.
Lochlan’s head rolls to one side while asleep. Rosey holds Lochlan's hand out a bit, "Just cleaning the blood off and there's weird scarring right here." She brushes back the fur to reveal long straight lines from each of her knuckles across the back of her hand.
Cole's eyes make a faint camera shutter noise as he zooms in slightly to see if there's anything abnormal. Cole finds the top of the knuckles have a slightly wider puncture wound than the rest of the scarring. Lochlan shifts again before her eyes crack open. Lochlan’s eyes then jolt open as she instantly yanks her arm towards herself and out of Rosey's hands. She looks between the two of them and blinks to wake herself up faster.
Cole's eyes make a faint camera shutter noise as they zoom back out, he watches her movements to make sure nothing hurts to move. For a moment she puts weight on her hand to sit up but quickly shifts to the forearm instead. Rosey's ears perk up, "You're alright, no worries!"
Lochlan sounds a bit groggy as she looks at Rosey, "You didn't drug me did you?"
Cole notes the quick shift then shakes his head, "Rosey had nothing to do with you being drugged... wait you don't remember what happened do you?"
Lochlan grumbles, "No I remember. I also remember you fucking charging at me. I just don't exactly trust waking up on Rosey's sofa of all places..."
Rosey folds her arms, "Again, just cause I do drugs sometimes doesn't mean I'm some horrible monster."
Cole sighs and looks down slightly, "Look, I don't know what they used on me but it made me enter a rage." Cole puts his hands in his pockets as he huffs, "I tried protecting you as best as I could in that state."
Rosey asks, "They? What even happened?"
Lochlan wipes one of her eyes and responds, "Seems my old boss didn't like the short notice on me leaving. I don't know how Peachy over here got stuck there though." She gestures to Cole.
Cole rolls his eyes and pulls his hands out of his pockets, "I heard you went missing and I thought I could handle it by myself, clearly that wasn't the best idea but at least I got you out mostly unharmed," Cole glances at her hand that she shifted her weight off of.
Like the other hand it has blood but Rosey hadn't gotten to cleaning it off yet. Any specks seem to be mostly around the knuckles. Rosey shakes her head, "You mentioned your old boss being crazy but I didn't think he was THAT crazy."
Lochlan scoffs, "You're not exactly sane either."
Rosey narrows her eyes and grumbles. Cole sighs and gestures to the hand he glanced at, "Right, aside from that can I see that hand? I saw you shift your weight off it and I wanna make sure it isn't broken or something."
Lochlan replies coldly, "You don't have to. I already know it's broken and I can take care of it myself."
Cole nods as he adjusts his gloves, "Well, I'm sorry for scaring the hell out of you that wasn't what I was trying to do." Cole starts to walk towards the front door.
Lochlan grabs one of the wipes from Rosey and starts wiping some of the blood off, "Not as scary as that face you've been walking around with, it's fine."
Cole flips Lochlan off as he keeps walking as he mutters, "**** yourself."
Lochlan seems unphased but Rosey is astounded as she walks to the door as she whines, "NO! YOU CAN'T SAY THAT TO HER!!!"
Cole swings the door open, "I can, just did." then slams it as he snaps his fingers and disappears.
